About Me

I hold a PhD from the Autonomous University of Madrid, with a multidisciplinary career path integrating biomedicine, statistics, and computer science. My research focuses on developing computational methodologies for genomic data analysis and their application in precision medicine and complex diseases.

Having led the Bioinformatics Unit at GENyO since 2013, I am currently a Tenured Professor in the Department of Statistics and Operations Research at the University of Granada, where I coordinate a cutting-edge team in digital health and bioinformatics.
